Who We Are
Salt Lake Public Adjusters is a locally owned and operated team of licensed public adjusters founded in Salt Lake City, Utah. What started as a small, local firm helping Utah homeowners navigate tough insurance claims has now grown to serve clients across Utah, Nevada, California, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon.
Our mission remains the same: to help everyday people navigate complex insurance claims with confidence and clarity.
Our team began their careers inside the insurance industry — learning firsthand how carriers evaluate, delay, and deny claims. That insider knowledge is now your greatest advantage. We know how insurance companies operate, and more importantly, we know how to fight back to get you the settlement you truly deserve.

Founder of Salt Lake Public Adjusters
Dylan Young started his career on rooftops — not behind a desk. As a contractor, he helped hundreds of homeowners repair storm-damaged roofs, but too often watched their valid claims get denied or underpaid. Determined to make a difference, he became an insurance adjuster, handling over 1,000 claims for 20+ carriers and learning exactly how the system works from the inside.
When Dylan discovered that Public Adjusters advocate solely for homeowners, everything clicked. He combined his contractor expertise, insider knowledge, and passion for fairness to create Salt Lake Public Adjusters — a firm dedicated to protecting policyholders and maximizing their settlements.
With a 97% success rate and 40+ years of combined experience, our team knows how to fight for what’s right and make sure you get the settlement you deserve — not just what the insurance company offers.
Elevate Your Claim Recovery Experience with Us
A standard homeowners insurance policy typically covers your home’s structure, other buildings on your property (such as garages, sheds, or fences), personal belongings, and personal liability.
In many cases, your policy may also include coverage for additional living expenses — like hotel stays and meals if your home becomes unlivable — as well as legal fees if you’re held liable for injuries or damage.
There are three main types of insurance adjusters:
- Insurance Company Adjusters – Work directly for the insurance company and protect the company’s interests.
- Independent Adjusters – Hired by insurance companies as outside contractors to handle claims on their behalf.
- Public Adjusters – Licensed professionals who represent you, the policyholder. They work exclusively for homeowners and business owners — never the insurance company.
Public adjusters are sometimes also called loss adjusters, private adjusters, or private claims adjusters — all of which mean the same thing: someone who fights to maximize your claim, not minimize it.
Restoration Projects that Span Every Type of Damage
From fire and water to storm, mold, and plumbing losses — Salt Lake Public Adjusters has helped homeowners across Utah recover what they’re truly owed. Every project represents a family restored, a home rebuilt, and a promise kept: to fight for fair settlements and full recovery.
